Marinated Jarlsberg® with Fruit and Nuts
Output: 4 portions
Ingredients
- 200 ml mild vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp. fennel seeds
- 1 tbsp. black peppercorns
- Peel of one orange, sliced into long strips
- 50 g dried apricots
- 50 g dried figs
- 50 g dried cranberries
- 400 g Jarlsberg®, diced
- 50 g roasted walnuts
- 50 g pistachios
Preparation
Heat oil slowly with fennel seeds, peppercorns and orange peel; fry gently for about 30 minutes. Cut apricots and figs into rough pieces and add with cranberries to the warm oil. Fry gently until fruits are tender, about another 30 minutes. Cool to room temperature, and add Jarlsberg® pieces and nuts. Transfer to an airtight jar, and top up with additional oil if desired.
